MY STORY
My career began at The London School of Musical Theatre in 2004, realising a life-long dream to train full time to be a professional theatre performer. My West End debut was a bucket list role for me, covering Fantine in Les Miserables in the West End; and whilst there I also performed in the 25th Anniversary celebrations at the O2 Arena.
I’ve proudly trodden the boards (on land and sea) in productions such as Annie Get Your Gun, Evita, Hair, Chess, Grease and The Thursford Christmas Spectacular to name just a few. They have taken me across the UK, Europe and even to a private event in Kenya, where I performed IN THE Masai Mara as a Diva from Priscilla Queen of the Desert!
A NEW CHAPTER...
In January 2020 I took the plunge as a soloist and invested in my own PA equipment for weddings & events. And then March came and the world was put on hold. But with the uncertainty I was gifted time and freedom to try new things.
The theatre world closed down, but the film and TV world came alive! I worked as a film extra and have since worked on Fantastic Beasts 3, Downton Abbey 2, Pistol, Boys in the Boat, Loki and Wicked Little Letters (to name a few!). The film set is a magical place and has opened up my sights to acting for film and TV in the near future.
In the early days of lockdown, I also volunteered for The Love of Scrubs national campaign. I sewed dozens of scrubs for local nursing staff during the unimaginable chaos of the Covid Pandemic, which was so humbling and frankly the least I felt could do. I’ve always loved sewing (in my ghost life I would’ve been a professional costume designer), and won a grant to study at Fashion Antidote Fashion School in London for a whole month. It was AMAZING! Later this year I’ll be performing again at Goodwood Revival and I’ve challenged myself to create my outfit perform in.
WHERE IT BEGAN
It’s safe to say I had the performing bug since day dot. Mum sent me to dance classes at 2 years old because I wouldn’t stop prancing around and it was a place to channel my energy. (I should add a side-note here: the teacher used to let me sleep for half the lesson in the corner because I couldn’t quite cope with the full hour!).
I grew up inspired by the Golden Age of Hollywood with it’s glamour, fashion and fond memories of watching musicals with my Nan. My parents love live music and I was so lucky to see iconic artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson and Elton John as a youngster growing up.
